稍後台灣民眾黨立法院黨團三長就要到行政院，與行政官員進行會議， #台灣民眾黨立法院黨團 認為雖然由行政院長召集，找立法院黨團赴政院開會並不符合憲政慣例，但國家面臨危機之際，我們願意共同承擔、群策群力、凝聚共識。會議前， 黃國昌總召代表民眾黨團申明五項原則與立場：

一、全民參與，會議應全程直播

二、行政院盡速赴立法院專案報告

三、請政府清楚說明目前 #嚴正交涉 進度與結論

四、不能割地又賠款， 政府應盡速與美簽訂台美雙邊貿易協定(BTA)  

五、在野省下2000餘億114年度預算，可發揮效益，如同及時雨擴大援助產業與勞工

黃國昌要求會議應全程直播、公開透明，避免行政院在會後私下放話、帶風向，且政院必須盡速到立法院進行專案報告，使國人安心，也才能讓內閣上緊發條。回顧今年二月，經濟部就說已派代表赴華府溝通，卻溝通出32%超高關稅，過去 民主進步黨政府一直強調台美關係史上最好，2022年還簽署的21世紀貿易倡議，如今卻猶如一紙空文，因此本黨團具體要求賴政府清楚說明未來交涉或談判的方向籌碼，而非繼續打迷糊仗甚至繼續「割地賠款」#喪權辱國。

幹事長 陳昭姿則指出，無論行政院長卓榮泰或賴清德總統所發表的「都很空泛」她並質疑880億元補貼預算的計算基礎不明，單純貼補也難以讓一再以「公平競爭」為由發動關稅戰的美國 #川普 總統接受，難以對症下藥。賴清德宣稱要對美從零關稅開始談判，但其實目前台灣已經被課徵了10%基礎關稅，再過不到50小時，台灣所受到的衝擊幅度，有可能是42%關稅之巨。陳昭姿痛斥，相對於各國政府即時反應，賴清德政府目前根本毫無作為!!

副總召 張啓楷更是痛心的說「砍單、停單、停工、放無薪假，已經是台灣產業現在進行式」連假期間他接獲不少國內水五金產業業者反應，準備「直接關門」 。原因是美國客戶訂單佔20%，一旦高關稅上路，依照目前「毛三到四」的低毛利率根本是只能賠錢；就算部分美國客戶願意負擔部分關稅，台灣業者還是必須吸收16%至20%，衝擊之大已經準備要員工「#放無薪假」如此重擊且複雜問題待解決，政府卻還在紙上談兵、還在雲淡風輕地說甚麼「謀定而後動」，擺爛至極要讓全民如何買單？

台灣民眾黨立院黨團除呼籲下午會議必須 #全程公開直播，卓榮泰院長應盡速率閣員赴立法院專案報告；把114年度中央政府總預算，在野嚴格審查把關省下的2000多億元，拿去協助產業與勞工，把錢花在刀口上，而非再拿去養網軍、綠媒、不要再講空話，才真有可能救台股、安企業、護勞工。

Later today, the three leaders of the Taiwan People's Party Legislative Yuan Caucus will meet with government officials at the Executive Yuan. Although Taiwan People's Party Legislative Yuan Caucus believes it is not in line with constitutional conventions for the Premier to convene a meeting with Legislative Yuan caucuses at the Executive Yuan, in light of the current national crisis, we are willing to shoulder this responsibility together, pooling our efforts to build consensus. Prior to the meeting, party caucus Leader Huang Kuo-chang(黃國昌) outlined five key principles and positions on behalf of the People's Party Caucus:

-Public Participation: The meeting should be broadcast live in its entirety.

-Timely Reporting: The Executive Yuan must promptly report the matter to the Legislative Yuan.

-Clear Communication: The government must provide a clear update on the current progress and conclusions of the "stern negotiations".

-No Territorial Concessions or Reparations: The government must expedite the signing of a Taiwan-U.S. Bilateral Trade Agreement(BTA).

-Utilizing Savings for Immediate Aid: The opposition parties have saved over NT$200 billion in the 2025 budget, which could be effectively used to support industries and workers in this time of crisis.

Huang Kuo-chang emphasized that the meeting should be fully live-streamed to ensure transparency and prevent the Executive Yuan from making private statements or manipulating narratives after the fact. He also called on the Executive Yuan to promptly report to the Legislative Yuan, reassuring the public that the Cabinet is taking its responsibilities seriously. He recalled that in February this year, the Ministry of Economic Affairs sent representatives to Washington for discussions, but these discussions led to an exorbitant 32% tariff. The Democratic Progressive Party(DPP) government has long touted its strong Taiwan-U.S. relations, including the 2022 signing of U.S.-Taiwan Initiative on 21st-Century Trade(台美21世紀貿易倡議), but these promises now seem empty. The caucus therefore demands that the Lai administration clarify the direction and leverage for future negotiations, rather than continuing to obfuscate or make "territorial concessions or reparations", which would amount to a national disgrace.

TPP Legislator Chen Gau-tzu(陳昭姿) also criticized the vagueness of statements from Premier Cho Jung-tai (卓榮泰) and President William Lai(賴清德). She questioned the unclear basis for the NT$88 billion subsidy budget, arguing that mere subsidies are unlikely to satisfy U.S. President Trump, who has repeatedly initiated tariff wars under the guise of "fair competition." She also pointed out that Lai Ching-te’s claim to negotiate with the U.S. starting from zero tariffs was unrealistic, especially given that Taiwan is already subject to a 10% base tariff. With the threat of tariffs rising as high as 42% in less than 50 hours,Chen Gau-tzu condemned the Lai administration's inaction, contrasting it with the swift responses of other governments.

TPP Legislator Chang Chi-kai(張啓楷) expressed deep concern over the current situation, saying, "Order cuts, order cancellations, halts in production, and unpaid leave are already the reality for Taiwan's industries." During the holiday period, he received feedback from many domestic water ware industry operators, some of whom are preparing to "shut down entirely". The reason is that U.S. customer orders make up 20% of their business, and once high tariffs are imposed, the current profit margins of just 3-4% would no longer be sustainable. Even if some U.S. customers are willing to absorb part of the tariffs, Taiwanese businesses would still have to bear 16-20% of the costs, leading to significant losses and preparations for "unpaid leave" for employees. Despite the severity of the issue, the government has remained detached, continuing to discuss plans on paper while offering vague statements like "plan thoroughly before taking action," showing extreme negligence and leaving the public to shoulder the consequences.

The Taiwan People's Party Legislative Yuan Caucus reiterated its call for the afternoon meeting to be fully live-streamed. Premier Cho Jung-tai must lead Cabinet members to promptly report to the Legislative Yuan. Furthermore, the NT$200 billion saved by the opposition in the 2025 central government budget should be used to support industries and workers, spending the money where it is most needed - not on internet trolls or pro-DPP media. Empty rhetoric must stop, and decisive action must be taken to stabilize Taiwan's stock market, safeguard businesses, and protect workers.
